The Alamo Retriever Club is a group of hunting retriever enthusiasts serving
the San Antonio and surrounding area. Its members are both young and old,
novice and pro, but all share the joy of retrievers. The club hosts both AKC
and UKC sponsored hunt tests and field trial events. So whether your an old
hat or new to the world of retrievers, Alamo is a great place to be! Come join
us at our next club meeting or event.
ARC goes Social
Communications are the lifeblood of any organization. It is the thread that binds us
together. Your communications committee is expanding ways for club members to
keep in touch with other members and integrate new ways to publish ARC events and
news. The two links to the left will allow you to post messages, upload photos, check
club happenings and communicate with your fellow retriever enthusiast. Check them
out, we think you will enjoy their convenience.
Join your fellow members at the ARC monthly training day. Chris Wray will be the host.
We will be meeting at National shooting complex. Training days are a great way to work
with your dog, and enjoy the company of fellow retrieverites.
The April training day has been moved to Saturday April 24th. Gene Camargo will be the
host. We will be training at the site of our future hunt test, Mike Miller's Seco Valley Ranch
in D'Hannis TX. Here is an excellent chance for you and your furry companions to become
familiar with the test area. Guest are always welcome. All dogs must be able to be
secured, or on leash when not actually in training.

ARC Announces HRC Spring Hunt Test
The national Hunting Retriever Club has approved the ARC Spring Hunt Test to take
place on May 15 and 16 2010. We will be at Miller Ranch in D'Hanis Texas. ARC
Members Barbara Mains will be the hunt chairperson, while Hunt Secretary will be
Stacy Baker. We are in the early stages of putting this event together. You can view
the hunt premium. Please consider volunteering some of your time to support these
ladies in making this event successful. There are many jobs that need to be filled no
matter what your interest. If you are new to retriever games, this is a great way to
learn more about it and make some friends along the way. Mark your calenders now,
to save May 15 and 16. Entries will be accepted through Hunt Secretary.com.
Handlers take part in ARC Training Day
|
Dick and Diana Beaufils, and Stacy co-hosted the Feb Training day. Over 20
handlers attended the event. Under a sunny Texas sky, a seminar with both water
and land work were featured. Other ARC members took the time to work on the club
trailer. A Big thank you to the hosts for making the Feb. training day successful.
